Following on from Portland Street Marshall Construction chose Maxim as project partners for the sites Tower Crane and lifting requirements at Brazennose House in the Heart of Manchester City Centre. This project consisted of steel frame and precast concrete façade, so the crane choice was a Potain MR 608 – 60 Meter Luffer which offered great lifting capacity at radius required. Maxim were involved with the crane supplier at the early stages of the project to conduct site meetings to assess the crane proposal and suitability.
We assisted with the initial set up of the site including installing welfare accommodation units and providing a number of Contract Lifts to supplement the project. Maxim also provided crane feasibility studies to confirm the heavy roof plant could be serviced and replaced if required in the future.
Maxim always places the safety of personnel at the forefront, so rescue and recovery planning was provided along with self-evacuation training for the Tower Crane operators before any lifting operations took place, ensuring the safety of all personnel on-site.
