A very tricky project in Covent Garden London to move large glass units from the kerbside to the internal atrium area and install them. After exploring all options and with crane lifting over the building not possible, we had to think outside the box. For this project, we employed a bespoke suspended scaffold tied into the brickwork with beams anchored to the scaffold to create lifting points.
Utilising rolling beam clamps, powered hoist units, and vacuum lifter we were able to lift through a single opening and transfer the load across to the far installation points.
With Maxim providing an initial survey through to completion in just under a week it is needless to say our client was more than impressed with our problem-solving skills.
